Fibromyalgia means that your body hurts, especially in your shoulder area and various muscles and your energy level is impaired.  The combination of pain and a lack of energy is enough to interfere with your quality of life.  A new study shows that 77% of patients with fibro are overweight.  In fact, almost half of fibro patients are classified as obese.  The greater the weight the greater the pain sensitivity, the worse the sleep, and the greater the loss of strength.  So which came first – weight gain or fibro?

Lactoferrin Can Help Shrink a Fat Stomach

A new double-blind, placebo-controlled study showed that individuals with abdominal obesity who took 300 mg of lactoferrin per day for 8 weeks had a significant reduction in abdominal fat, body weight, BMI, and hip circumference.  Those taking lactoferrin lost 1.79 inches from their waistline, compared to 0.35 inches in the control group.
